Youngstown School continues to accept registrations in both the Community and Logos programs. We also accept resident students who have newly moved into the Youngstown School’s attendance area and David Thomas King School's attendance area, for the regular and Logos program. A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic. Non-resident students can enroll in another Division school with space in planned classes.
If you register for Kindergarten or are new to Edmonton Public Schools, you must register online.

Youngstown School is an overflow designated school for David Thomas King School. If your child is part of the lottery process at David Thomas King School and is not selected to attend the school, they will be able to attend our school.
Resident attendance area students from the David Thomas King School should enroll at their designated school first if they wish to be part of the lottery process and be placed on the callback list. If families do not want to be part of the lottery process, they can choose to register or pre-enroll directly at David Thomas King School. Siblings of students who will be returning to the school the following year will also be able to attend our school as well.
More information about the lottery process is available on the Edmonton Public Schools website.
If you have additional questions about this process, please call our office at
Have questions about Transportation? See the EPSB Transportation page.
The communities of Kinglet and Big Lake are designated for Winterburn School. Transportation will not be available for these communities.
You will need to pre-enroll on SchoolZone to tell us the school you’d like your child to attend next year. Find important dates and deadlines and learn more about pre-enrolment, which opens between March and April each year.
If you have questions about registering for school, contact the school office.
The Logos Program is an alternative program. It is a fully funded (no tuition) non-denominational Christian program that follows the Alberta Program of Studies and applies Christian morals, values and beliefs into all curriculum areas of study.
The Logos Christian program is sustained through activities such as morning prayers and devotions, Bible readings and scripture memorization, songs and chapels and opportunties to serve others through various service projects.
For more information, see the Edmonton Logos Society website.
Youngstown's Logos program serves the West side of Edmonton. Busing is available for most Logos students.
Interested in registering in our Logos Program? If you are a current EPSB student, select Youngstown in the "Next Year" tab found in SchoolZone between March 8 and April 14 or, if you are new to EPSB, fill out a registration form (or pick one up from any Edmonton Public School) and register online as a convenient option that helps support our health and safety measures.

Dear Youngstown Families/Guardians,
Welcome to this new school year at Youngstown. My name is Kary Lavallee and I am privileged to be Youngstown’s principal. It is a gift to learn and grow with this community.
As our staff have been preparing for the arrival of our students we have been learning, growing and sharing about how we can continue to set all students up for success through teamwork, high expectations, engaging learning environments and welcoming spaces.
We are excited to also welcome students to our new Interactions program. We have newly renovated classrooms with an environment that supports students on the Autism Spectrum. These spaces will support rich and engaging learning activities, sensory spaces and adapted and modified programming to address all student’s individual needs.
The Youngstown community strives to build strong and lasting relationships with open communication. Being seen, heard and understood is essential to this relationship building. Please know that I am available to support your child(ren) through their learning journey and welcome parents and guardians to reach out as needed and I look forward to continuing getting to know the amazing people in this school community.
Our doors are open and we welcome you to come and learn and grow with us.
Mrs. Kary Lavallee
