  • Registration

If your child is new to Edmonton Public Schools, you can register for school online. Visit the Division website to learn how to register for school.

Youngstown School is full in planned classes in Grade 3 in the Regular Program for 2021-2022. We will now only accept resident students in Grade 3 who newly move into the school’s attendance area for the regular program. A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic. Non-resident students can enrol in another Division school with space in planned classes.

If you register for Kindergarten or if you are new to Edmonton Public Schools, you must register online.  New students to EPSB are eligible to start registering as of Feb 1, 2022.

You will need to pre-enrol on SchoolZone to tell us the school you’d like your child to attend next year. Find important dates and deadlines and learn more about pre-enrolment, which opens between March and April each year.

If you have questions about registering for school, contact the school office.

The Logos Program is an alternative program.  It is a fully funded (no tuition) non-denominational Christian program that follows the Alberta Program of Studies and applies Christian morals, values and beliefs into all curriculum areas of study.

The Logos Christian program is sustained through activities such as morning prayers and devotions, Bible readings and scripture memorization, songs and chapels and opportunites to serve others through various service projects.

For more information, see the Edmonton Logos Society website.

Youngstown's Logos program serves the West side of Edmonton.  Busing is avaialble for most Logos sttudents.

Youngstown School is proud to be a healthy school, and we are proud to be a partner with APPLE Schools. We firmly believe in being an active, supportive and positive school community that empowers everyone to make healthy choices.

A home version of our nutrition policy will be sent home with each child and is at the back of the handbook.

Youngstown will foster a healthy school environment that supports students, staff, parents and community members to choose healthy, active lifestyles. Active living and healthy eating habits will be encouraged and supported by sustainable programs within the school community.

We are very pleased to be able to provide all of our students with the Leader in Me process which is based on Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. We believe that all students from Kindergarten to grade six can be strong leaders in their own right. The Leader in Me is an approach that allows staff to support students by fostering a deep sense of responsibility, respect and dedication to themselves, their school community and families.

Youngstown will empower everyone to make educated choices towards leading healthy lifestyles. A sustainable and positive environment will be a constant force in making healthy choice the only choice with the school community. Youngstown will work towards sustaining a goal of health for all.

Principal's Message

Dear Parents/Guardians:
Welcome to the 2021 - 2022 school year at Youngstown School.  I am so proud to be the principal of this wonderful school and I look forward to supporting all students on their individual learning journey.
Our school’s mission statement is: a caring, engaged learning community that develops strong character and healthy leaders.

We are proud to be both an APPLE School and a Leader in Me School.  I am also proud of the staff at Youngstown and their commitment to the development of the whole child.
The optimal operation of a school requires the cooperation and understanding of everyone involved - students, parents, teachers, support staff, custodial staff and community members. Everyone is involved in helping to create and maintain the school as a successful and positive community. At Youngstown School you will find a caring staff that work hard to make it a supportive place for students to learn.
This web site is one method of effective and essential communication between the school and home and our school team looks forward to working collaboratively with families to provide an excellent educational experience for your children.  You are always welcome to contact us if you have any questions, concerns, or ideas.
Yours in partnership,
Mr. Jason Dolezal
